Keep safety first

Document visible damage
Take clear photos of the overall fence and close-ups of affected areas. Look for missing boards, cracked rails, bent hardware, broken gates, and posts that lean or move.
Check the full run
The section that fell may not be the only damaged area. Wind can loosen connections elsewhere. Avoid leaning on a compromised fence, and keep children and pets away until it is stable.
Decide on repair or replacement
